Simchat torah - Pot luck dinner

  • This Motzai Shabbat - Saturday night, is Simchat Torah. One of the most festive days of the Jewish year. A holiday in which social gathering, eating and dancing with the Torah are the methods of celebration. We do not want to cancel out Simchat Torah due to the virus. Instead we will be implementing these guidelines to keep everyone safe.

    1) 15 tables will be set up around the perimeter of the Shul. Families will be asked to sit together at one table.

    2) Cold cuts, challah rolls, drinks, cutlery and other dry foods and dips will be set at each table. One family at a time will be allowed to obtain food from the hot food buffet. GLOVES MUST BE WORN WHEN HANDLING SERVING SPOONS.

    3) The Bima will be placed in the center of the room. When going around, distance MUST be maintained.
    4) We will use disposable shot glass to prevent the accidental confusion.
